INITIAL MEETING

This is an opportunity for us to get acquainted, in a relaxed, no-obligation setting. Ultimately, we want to answer questions you may have about our services, process and/or philosophy. We also want to better understand your planning needs, desires and expectations so we know clearly how we might best be of service. To facilitate this understanding, we kindly request you prepare a client questionnaire before we meet. If after meeting, we both agree that 3TA is the right firm for you, we’ll proceed to the next phase.

GOAL SETTING

We now enter into an agreement for services, were we will listen and learn your goals, desires and values.  It is important for us to understand your financial history when setting goals, as this will have a deep impact on what is paramount to you.  Each of us has different life experiences that shape our view of money and resources, and without looking into this experience, our understanding will be unclear.

INFORMATION GATHERING

An invitation to provide documentation such as account statements, tax returns, wills, insurance policies together so that we may begin formulating the appropriate plan to reach your established goals.  Certain projections and assumptions, such as income and living expenses, will also be made in this phase.

PLAN DEVELOPMENT & PRESENTATION

A detailed map of 1) where you are, 2) where you are headed and 3) how to best get there is prepared using the documentation, projections and goals from above.  Various obstacles to your plan are also addressed in this phase.  As the amount of information presented can take some time to walk through, several meetings may be necessary to fully discuss the plan.

INVESTMENT TRAINING


Investment selection is actually included in the Plan Development Phase, but it is important to revisit our philosophy here so that your appreciation for our service and your confidence remains steady as the plan progresses. Every advisor should convey the following statement in some form or fashion, directly or indirectly, verbally or in writing, but it is essential to note that “past performance does not guarantee of future results”.

IMPLEMENTATION


We will work with you, your legal counsel, insurance agent(s), CPA and other professionals to implement plan recommendations. This portion of the process will require frequent interaction to ensure all tasks are performed, and usually takes several months to fully implement. Of course, the simpler the plan, the simpler the implementation.

QUARTERLY REVIEW


Your advisor will review plan recommendations and open action items as well as monitor investment performance at least quarterly. Should you have any change in your circumstances, your plan will be updated to appropriately reflect same. Asset allocation will also be reviewed at least quarterly to ensure your risk tolerance parameters are appropriately maintained. Potential considerations due to the economic, regulatory or political environment will also be communicated. Open communication is key to making the plan successful and we invite you to contact us with any questions and concerns.
